Bars are great anytime of the day. If you don’t have nut allergies you can substitute your favorite nut for the seeds. I love nuts and eat them all the time but seeds make this recipe really delicious. If you have a nut allergy make sure that your seeds are not processed at a nut processing facility. It will say it on the packaging.
- 2 cups oats
- 2/3 cup coconut sugar
- ½ cup craisins or dried fruit
- 1 cup whole wheat or all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
- ½ cup honey
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- ½ cup sunflower or pumpkins seeds or mixture of each
Grease a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
Spread into prepared pan pressing down on bottom and sides.
Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until edges start to brown.
Remove from oven and let cool completely on baking rack.
Cut into squares and store in an air tight container.
